    Frequently asked

What is the Vugola MCP server?

It's an official Model Context Protocol server that gives your AI assistant Vugola's video tools — clip long videos, add captions, download clips, schedule posts, and manage channel Automations — callable right from your prompts.

    Which AI apps can connect?

Any MCP-capable client: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Cline, Windsurf, and agents like OpenClaw and Hermes. You paste one URL or run one command.

Do I need an API key?

For Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor you connect over OAuth — just sign in with Vugola, no key to manage. For the npm / local server you use a vug_sk_ API key from your dashboard.

    Is it free?

Connecting is free. Running clips uses your Vugola credits. API and MCP access works with an active plan or trial; channel Automations require a Creator or Agency workspace owner.
